About Us
Our Story
Founded in Philadelphia in 2007, Drew Nugent and the Midnight Society specialize in preserving and revitalizing the traditional hot jazz styles of the 1920s.
The band, led by Drew Nugent—a pianist, trumpeter, vocalist, and uniquely, a tea kettle player—has been delighting fans for over a decade with their authentic yet original approach to jazz.
Musical Style and Inspiration
Drawing from a century of great performers, composers, and musicians, the band brings a vibrant and lively expression of New Orleans, roaring 20s, and swing jazz.
Although these styles may seem forgotten by some, the Midnight Society keeps the music alive and thriving.
